The year that’s almost done

Pulled it off The Blue Guitar...

1. What did you do in 2007 that you'd never done before?
Started college.
Blogged.
Encountered pot-smokers (erm…people I know who smoke pot…may have met some without knowing).
Straightened my hair.

2. Did you keep your new years resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
No. And no.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
No. Thank all the gods.

5. What places did you visit?
Mountains. Somewhat wooded ones.

6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?
Honesty.

7. What date from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
June 29th. J.U results came out. I’d been bracing myself to accept the fact that I wasn’t getting in anywhere.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Getting almost everything I wanted.

9. What was your biggest failure?
Losing contact with schoolmates.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Not really.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
”Fire from Heaven.” Yes, I know I’m obsessed.

12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
My mum’s. I don’t know what she did wrong to get someone like me as a kid.

13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and/or depressed?
Two of my “best friends”’. Erm… they were.

14. Where did most of your money go?
On books. (Is anyone surprised?)

15. What did you get really excited about?
College.

16. What song will always remind you of 2007?

17. Compared to this time last year, are you happier or sadder?
Mostly happier.

About the same.

19. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Reading. Tonnes of books I should read but haven’t.

Lazing around.

Doing nothing.

22. Did you fall in love in 2007?
Nope.

None.

Brothers and Sisters.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Maybe.

The White Mughals.
The Madwoman in the Attic.
Brokeback Mountain (am not entirely sure whether to call that a book).
Fire from Heaven (am withholding judgement till I read the sequels).
The Kite Runner.

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Rock music as a whole.

28. What did you want and get?
New friends.
A mobile.

29. What did you want and not get?
Trust.

30. What was your favourite film of this year?
Brokeback Mountain.

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
Went out with my family. 17.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
A DVD drive. Other than that, I’m good.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2007?
Kurtas and shirts. Sneakers.

Nothing. Am not.

wtf?

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
Nothing really political, but Rizwanur/Priyanka.

The 'best friends' I no longer speak to.

He’s left.
